New reader

It would seem that I have a new reader of my blog. Thanks to this mystery reader for the words of encouragement. I can only guess as to the meaning of some of the code words that they have used, but I think I get the gist.

I'm pretty sure that the name on the gmail account is a nom de plume, and I guess the misspelling of the last name ('in' instead of 'en' at the end) is intentional in some cryptic way.

Anyway, thanks for the note.

That being said, my concerns for the neighborhood are profound at the moment. I have been led to believe that the sole reason that Rocky Branch creek flows on the Dorothea Dix side of Western Boulevard instead of the Boylan Heights side is that Joseph pissed-off the person on the Western Boulevard planning commission so much that he punished Joseph by putting his beloved creek on the other side of Western from his house. God knows what the people on the planning committee for Dorothea Dix will do if Joseph angers them too. I wouldn't be surprised it they approved a giant, ugly convenience store with 20 gasoline pumps right across Western Boulevard from his house if the story about Rocky Branch creek is true.

Then there's the neighborhood newsletter that seems to have become his family's newsletter. As if we're interested... I can't believe they're asking for more money for "publishing" the thing when they won't print notices about changes to city of Raleigh ordinances that may affect many people in the neighborhood because he considers the article "negative" and doesn't want "negative" information in the newsletter.

Dude... It's not negative. It's INFORMATIVE. The items that you've been padding the newsletter with is fluff. Useless fluff. It's not "positive" -- it's useless.

Soon to be experiencing the peak of good living,

Jeff
