Sheezus... What a bunch of freaks some of my neighbors are. Makes me wonder what they did 10-12 years ago that they are afraid that us new people will discover.
Maybe there's something that happened back 10 years ago that they covered-up and now they're afraid that we "newbies to the neighborhood" will discover.
What suggested change to the bylaws could have sparked this fear of exposure? Not the meeting day... It couldn't be that. Whatever it is they are covering-up, it must be pretty bad. Unethical? Illegal? ....
Whatever it is, there's a number of the long time residents that were involved with the crime. Are they afraid that M will crack under pressure and tell all? It must have been so bad that it has driven J insane after all these years... the guilt, the responsibility of knowing.... the horror!!
The reason I think that this crime happened about 10 years ago is that all of them seem to be obsessed with telling us new people how long they've been in the neighborhood. All of them without exception have over 10 years in time living in Boylan Heights.
Luckily, not all of the long time residents of the neighborhood seem to have been involved in the crime. There are many that are just as confused by these people as we newbies are.
