As we all figured was the case and as Ruth did an excellent job of explaining at the last meeting, the whole deal concerning the attempt to squelch the web site was in order for Joseph apparently to get revenge for getting himself kicked-off of the web site committee.
Thanks to Ruth for bringing forward this information in front of everyone in the meeting. I'm going to make sure this was added to the meeting minutes for posterity.
What is the most awesome part of all of this is that poor Kim could have had all of this resolved THREE months ago if she had just shown up to the first meeting following the posting of the article that she didn't like. Not only that, but if the results of the vote last Tuesday is a good judge of what would have happened at the first meeting (and I think it is), then she could have gotten her way in 5 minutes or less.
Unfortunately, Kim joined forces with Joseph & Co. which stretched-out the whole thing to three grueling months. My opinion is that revenge is always a poor motivation for anything. People make grave errors in judgement when revenge is their motivation. Unfortunately, revenge seems to be the only motivation that Joseph has as far as the neighborhood is concerned.
Note to others looking for allies in the neighborhood in the future: Avoid Joseph & Co. They will just spend months screwing around trying to address their hidden agenda instead of helping you out and in the end they will fail miserably on all points.
I believe this is the beginning of the end of the reign of terror in Boylan Heights.
